Saints

The example of the saints is a great help for us in our spiritual lives. Looking to the lives of the saints like the desert fathers and mothers will assist us in becoming holy. Also petitioning the saints for assistance while we are upon this earth will help greatly. When we petition saints for their help, we are asking for them to pray to God for us and because they are already in heaven all the fruits of their prayers can be given to help us in our times of need.
